    Lemming site click here

    BYO everything, really.

    More instructions:

if coming from Wellington (make sure you gas up)
Over the Rima's turn right at the base of the hill before you get into Featherston township. stay on this road all the way down to Ocean Beach, don't turn off to Lake Ferry (unless you want a beer) Stay on this main road,
The road does change to gravel (keep going as you have approx another 20km to go) & there are a couple a creek crossings to challange you in the last km before the rally site.

My invite arrived yesterday. However, since it involves a tent, I'll pass.

    Hitcher, you going??

Well the old site there was a granny's route & the adventure route. Holly & her, um, friend (2 diminutive stature wimin') got a GSX750 & an FJ1200 in while I brought the mighty FA50. Jeff turned up one year over the adventure route (hill climb & sand crossing) on a GPZ600 at night. But he is an animal.

The new site has a couple of stream crossings that would not scare anyone much, but I'd take the lower fairings off the RF to do it. They got the party bus in.

Will be going over not sure which bike yet, will depend if I can talk Viv into staying the night if yes then it will be KLR's if no then may take mighty CT110.
SKUNK & Skunk control were taliking about going over just for the ride.

Paul you would get a road bike in easy, so long as you dont mind about 20km's of gravel, as F5 said a couple drove their old Bedford Bus in last year.

    Not much to do but
If you're not living on the edge you're not leaning over far enough

I'm very uneasy about riding the Guzzi in slow shingle due to the rear sets and C/R box with it's stupid high gear... It really is a pain in the ass....

What this is telling me is to get the damn Trumpet going because it would do it easy peasey..... Right! Motivation time...

Cheers for this. This sounds like a lotta FUN!

Take it you didn't recognise his old van the other day then? Too tidy now?

Hmmm, that's an idea - if I can get the other AX100 going...

Yeah I put an airfilter on the Bucket BungBung bought & took that to the old site, that was um, interesting down the rock steps. This site really has pretty easy gravel.

Maybe Pickle can 'borrow' one of Speedpro's (if he's down in time) and have dirt bucket races...
