I picked the story because of it's title... "The UK's safest city is…" and in 44th place of the Mercer 2011 quality blah blah blah... Glasgow. Fuckin AWESOME. The city is much maligned, I lived there for many more years than anticipated, saw some exceptionally hairy shit, met some of the funniest/most generous people on the planet... fuckin A that it's the best the UK has to offer... albeit I wouldn't have picked it as the safest, which speaks volumes in ways. Going to the UK? Ditch London and the Sarf etc... head Norf, go visit the Weegies.
