Telstra Clear SoHo - sucked in again

I'm starting to really really dislike Telstraclear.

They start a new channel (SoHo) and put 'Game of Thrones' on it which is something I actually wanted to watch. We are getting into it and usually record it on the T box to watch on friday night THEN they make it subscription only before the first seasons finished! GRRR!

I don't know if I'm more angry with them or myself for getting suckered in.

Fuck them, I already give them far too much $$ for their frankly average service and abyismal customer service (if you think Telecoms grim, try calling these idiots) - I'll just buy the bloody DVD from amazon and they can get rooted.

SoHo (on Sky) has - from the start - been advertised as going subscription after the first "teaser" free-ness.

(Same as how Rialto sometimes becomes free for a Month.)

So I didn't even bother starting to watch anything on it.

You need to read the fine-print.

Game of thrones is a great series, i have a download of season 1, best tv show in ages. I know what you mean about telsra clears service, we used to be long time customers, and they were fine when everything was in NZ. Had a disagrement with them a year ago, getting transferred to australia, then transferred to india, back to aussie, back to india, an hour later and you havnt gotten anywhere, we are no longer customers, but i do miss the lightspeed broadband

plus 1 and boy was I tempted to have look at Game of Thrones. But if I was that keen there is downloads and TC just had that all you can eat weekend.

It was always only free for one month, all you have to do is watch and listen when they say "free for all subscribers untill december"

$10 per month is excellent value for money for Soho as far as we are concerned. There are lots of shows we watch add free in HD.

Has your tv or DVD player got USB input?
Should be easy enough to supply you with the remaing eps.

On a related note, anyone remember the series "Wiseguy" on years ago? Got that delivered today,
    35 (!) DVDs
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

I can remember Wiseguy but can't remember the series being long enough for 35 DVDs. Went downhill a bit when they started changing characters, as usual. Ex-mob guy gone 'straight' but working undercover with a 'controller' in a wheelchair? Kind of spy series but against crime instead of the commies
