    Arrow I need some help!

I need to track down the person who smashed into our Fiat and drove off. I gave the suspected rego number to the police, but they were too busy and or disorganised to follow it up. Is there anyone on KB who can look up rego details? If so, could you please look up C0FFIN (that's "coffin" with a zero for the 'o') for me, and PM me with the details? -Thanx.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Yeah, that's right, and thanx. It should be a Nissan Primera, if I've got the rego right.

0900 55 007. Ask to do a security check, and get them to fax you the details. Will cost about $9 though, $4.50 a minute I think from when I last used it. We now check them all on the net.

All I want to do is find the car, and photograph the damage to the front of it before they have it fixed, and make sure the bits of car I've got match the broken bits. Then they can pay for my damage. Fuckers.

Just in case you guy's didn't know this, everytime an LTSA search is done, whether it be Licence, rego or just a simple name check the search is recorded. A mate I worked with once found this out after he thought he would look up the rego of a car that pulled in front of his bike causing him to swerve and hit another car. The car that pulled out in front of him drove of, but he remmebered the rego. The next day he came to work looked them up and wrote an anonymous letter to the driver . . . however it turned out not to be so "anonymous" when the driver went to the police and they tracked down who and where etc the LTSA search was done by.

Same thing if the Poh-leece do a check -that's why I won't do checks for mates. (Apart from the fact we are not allowed to by regulations)

Its funny Im in a job where I use LTSA everyday ALL day, it gets soo tempting to look up regos of arsehole drivers and the like, but it's just not worth it. Btw, my mate lost his job doing this as well as being charged with something along the lines of "threatening behaviour" . . .

Yes, I found all that out before I requested the search.

At this stage, all I want to do is see if I can verify that the damage on the front of "C0FFIN"s car confirms that it is the car involved in the crash, and if so, I'll try to get a photo of the damage, before they fix it. Then I'll pass that to the police, and inform the insurance company.
If I luck out (the address is old, or the car's been fixed, or the damage is just coincidentally similar), then I'll just have to wear the cost.
I'm not interested in vengeance or any of that - I just don't see why I should be out of pocket for someone else's dishonesty and cowardice.

Well good luck mate, hope you manage to get some sort of compensation or closure out of this!
