    Motorcycle taxi driver Tui wins Thai ‘Big Brother’

    Thailand’s first ‘Big Brother’ show has been won by a motorbike taxi driver, Nipon Perktim.

    Nipon, better known as ‘Tui’, received 70.74 per cent of the vote from viewers on Saturday night, well ahead the two other candidates, who received 12.27 and 16.99 per cent of the vote.

    The 22-year-old motorcycle taxi driver received prizes worth Bt3.77 million, including Bt1 million in cash, a house and a Mazda 3 sedan.

    Good on him! But a motorcycle taxi? Whats that? Like a rickshaw but with a motor?
    I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

    A motorcycle taxi is just a motorcycle. Usually a small 125cc or so. Just hop on the back and off you go. They're one of the most scary means of getting around Bangkok, but are very cheap. No helmet or protective clothing of course.
