    Problem adding photos to thread

When I start a new thread and click the 'manage attachments' button, nothing happens. I have successfully placed images in the past, just not today. I have tried firefox (with pop-ups enabled) and IE.

IE gives me an 'error on page'

    Any ideas?

sounds interesting mate. first up i'd do the ussual, reboot etc,
quick check for spyware (lavasoft.com) and post the error you get.
is it just the yellow triangle with an ! in it on the original page or the popup.

anything show up on the page on the popup? r-click and view source on the popup. do you get anything?

it looks like its written in VB script, might have security settings too high?
I only posted this because of the global economic crisis

Can photos no longer be linked in a thread? You know, using the [img] [/img] stuff? Seems can only add a link to the photo or save photo and add as an attachment? Anyone know whats up?

When I click the "manage attachments" button, nothing happens. For each click, I get this in the Javascript console. I'm running Firefox, but I get a similar problem using IE. "Error on page"

    Error: PrivoxyWindowOpen is not defined

I'm not talking about attching a photo from your computer, I'm talking about linking a photo so the photo appears in the post. When youre entering a post there was an option next to the "insert hyperlink" and "insert email link" icons, that was "insert image" seems to be missing.
should be a photo appearing above this line.
But, it appears not, only the hyperlink to the photo.... .

Bungbung - Picture size may be too big. must be 800x600 or smaller. resize it and try again.

I've noticed this too,but my work computer won't let me link for some reason on any site, and our home connection is down so can't try at home - doesn't linking take less bandwidth or somesuch techo stuff,I prefer to link than attach.

Well, thats what I thought, if you link the photo with the [img] [/img] it doesnt affect bandwidth on this site as the photos arent hosted her, are they. Well this is a comment by the owner of another forum I use, some people just posted the hyperlink to the photos rather than posting the image in the thread. Attaching them seems to take too long, and the posts look alot better with photos in the body of the post rather than tacked on as a attachment.

I've removed the [IMG] vB tag. Images linked in the post make it harder for those on dialup. Also linked images often disappear leaving a broken image link. Uploading the image as an attachment instead ensures it is always viewable. It also makes it easier to find an image in an old post because attachments can be searched in the image browser.

Dialup? WTF? Upgrade to Broadband yah bloody peasents! So we're catering for the poor people now? I know, I'll only post black and white photos cos some people out there may not have a colour TV
And shouldnt be encouraging people to drag up old posts anyway...try and stay up to date, do you dig up last years newspapers just for some light reading?
Maybe we need a poll, how many people have complained about the slow loading of pages on dial up anyway?
