I might have to get something for our cat, Meshuggah. She's graduating from mice to skinks.

We live just up the hill from the wildlife sancutuary. They've got a predator proof fence but birds are good at flying. I'm told that the Hihi (stitchbird) that they have are the first ones to breed on the mainland for 60 years, except for the one that was at our place. Two wings, two legs (with bands) and a head was all that was left. I put the bits in a bag a sanctuary guy came and picked them up. He gave me a speech about conservation and then nearly cried when I showed him the bits. I told him I'd had a word with Deathmurdermahem (DMM) and he promised (the cat) he wouldn't do it again.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Thanks guys, all tokens gratefully appreciated! We got our kitten from the SPCA in April and I want another one next year when we get back from our holidays. Been selling off some old stuff and donating the proceeds to the SPCA - given them $50 so far, so if I get the tokens and the cat gets a bed (or the house - that's 10 tokens!), I'll slip them a few more dollars.

You think you have a problem with cats bringing home mice, skinks and little birds - our old cat, Flash, brings home fully-grown rabbits and disembowels them on the bedroom carpet! No photos, too busy cleaning that mess up, but here's a shot of what he thinks of magpies! He was divebombed by two one day, and they shit all over him. The next day I found a wing out by the garage and the rest of it on the kitchen mat - I could just imagine him yelling "take that you bastard!" as he tore it to bits!

Our kitten loves wandering in the paddock with the sheep, but a couple have taken to chasing her! One followed her around and around a tree recently, it was really funny to watch.

This shot is of the first day she encountered a sheep up close - note the folded back ears and the "I'm so low you can't see me" body posture!
