    Announce Fatal crash in Christchurch (24 November) Tribute request added

    A motorcyclist has died in a collision with a van in central Christchurch this morning.
    St John ambulance was called to the crash at the corner of Gasson and Byron streets at 8.32am.
    Unfortunately, the male motorcyclist was already dead at the scene.

    Fuck I just drove past this, thought I could see a bike but wasn't certain. It's just around the corner from my work and there are multiple police cars there and about 4 streets blocked off.

    very very sad, i too work 2 businesses down, its a sad loss of a very likable character, heart goes out to his family and colleauges.

    This is devastating for those of us that knew him, and I'm sure for many that didn't.

    I would say to keep him in your prayers, but he'd probably give me a slap for doing that. Rest in peace then.

    yip, true and he seemed to come out a bit once he left the shop he is beter knowen at. He leaves a young one and missus, Myself I had abeer with him at the Magpie last w/e, he was enjoying being out and about on the new bike.

    I so happened to pass through the acco site just after it happened, and seen it all, its funny how you just know it was someone ya know.
