It's not just deaths, it's permanent brain injury from being hit in the head too many times.

If you think that, then you need to expand your knowledge base a little more, so that you can see beyond '2 guys rolling around' My wife watches it with me, and when you know whats actually happening, and can see how close these guys are EVERY second on the ground to getting beaten by any number of various chokes, arm bars etc etc etc, its actually often much more exciting that the stand up parts of the fight.

Understanding the ground game is like watching two guys boxing, while being able to simultaneously read both fighters minds in real time - You can see the options they can see, you can see their intentions before they act, both in attack and defense, and its that much more awesome. - I genuinely suggest you try and learn a bit more about it. Joe Rogan (If you can stand his voice) is often on the money with seeing what someone is going for, and exlpaining it to the un-learned viewer in simple terms as the fight progresses.

Did you even read post #2, or did you just trot in on your high horse guns blazing ready to defend punching other people in the head in the name of 'sport'? Maybe you've taken too many hits already? No, that's right, you're doing amateur so regardless of how many studies link amateur boxing to chronic head trauma, you'll be right

I'm not trying to stop you though, knock yourself out....

If it is, then you and your plonker mates are quite free to keep punching each other in the head, I hear that works out really well
People get knocked out playing all sorts of sports, even dare I say it...racing motorcycles! Get over it. People choose to do shit they enjoy, it's their choice if they wanna give some other cunt the bash and get bashed. I've broken all sorts of things racing over the years, and many think I'm stoopid for having done so, but I would do it all over again for the enjoyment I had racing other stoopid cunts!

You're doing it wrong. The idea is to knock the opponent out.

Indeed, even walking down the street you could trip and knock yourself out.

That is a million miles away from trying to punch someone else in the face.

I never suggested anyone should stop boxing if that's what they enjoy.

Here's my view since I reckon you folks are overthinking this whole thing....

SBW has been roped into this to improve ticket sales to female fans. End of story.

/edit: Whilst we're at it, riddle me this... Boxers I've seen interviewed talk like they've had their brains punched out (funny that). Is that mere coincidence, and you actually have to be that retarded to take up boxing, or was it a result of the boxing itself?
You are right about the head bashing bit. Not at all great for the brain. Nothing like some Parkinsons and Alzheimers in old age to increase ones quality of life. I enjoyed boxing, but glad I no longer do it. Great sport, but in terms of self defence it is only average.

Yup...its another pathetic matchup for sonny bill.

Hope he gets his face! broken and learns to pick a sport and stick with it...Im a league player...no wait...Im a rugby player...nah...back to league...wait...rugby....hang on....IM A BOXER NOW!...

I studied 3x martial arts over a period of 12yrs, and have nothing but respect for boxers (well...the good ones! lol), its a VERY technical sport that demands control, timing and fitness to the extreme!....love a good boxing match...its just a pitty the sport is corrupt and usually fixed so good bouts are bloody rare.

And as for the "Lazy trainer" sonny is up against...if you don't train...you can't fight! (I havn't trained for yrs!!....and struggle to get a cookie off my 16month old son now days ...he fights dirty!)

When Life thows me a curve
    ...I lean into it!
