Boxing, and other martial arts are great. One of the best things to happen in my life for confidence, fitness and self defence.

At least you are weight matched and your opponent stands in front of you - you know they are going to try and hit.

Totally agree Deano, boxing turned my life around when I was a teenager, helped me learn self respect and respect for other people!

Unfortunately officials like judges and referees can still queer the game but all the more incentive to develop greater skills and knockout capability!

Leave nothing to some one else's discretion .... just get in there and do the business! Game over!


If SBW spies an opportunity and takes it (within the rules of the event) good upon him, if you disagree, it doesn't really matter!

As a professional sportsman he no longer qualifies as an amateur, so has to hone his skill amongst the professional ranks and take whatever opportunities are available!

The controlling body (of the event) would do well to review the value of the conditions of their event to maintain it's value in the eye of the supporting public that they expect to attract to attend and finance it.

IMHO he looks great but so far I have seen little evidence to suggest he is "champion" boxing material ... best he just keeps on learning for a (long) while yet!
