All (99%)bikes have a fuel gauge, it's your trip meter. Learn how far you get before the light or reserve happens. Then you have 30km before it is pushing time. Now all you have to do is the maths when you see distance signs. Regards Richard

Even with a new fan-dangled fuel indicator thing-a-ma-jig, I had to set the trip metre. I dont even know how many kms Millie has done, only what her last trip was...

    She has a flat battery...

I'm on the verge of booking a standard cabin for the night (sleeps 4) and have one roomie already.

If 1-2 more people wanna join in with us and split the cost flick me a pm. Price per person is ~$30. The average price goes down the more people there are.

I'm going to book in the next day or two so decide quickly people!

    That is all.

Well, as much as I would love to think I could do this ride, I have decided that it's just a bit too big an ask i'm afraid. But if ya need an extra car and helper I would be more than happy to tag along, but I see that Grant has already organised that side of it. I'm sure you'll all have a blast.

Yes electronic gauges are wonderful they give you 2 trip meters. Then one flat battery start they take it ALL away. I have taken to leaving the odomiter on trip one (fuel gauge) and reading it before each start, see old dogs can learn new tricks slowly. Regards Richard PS Wonderful weather in Levin just no bike to enjoy it, bugger.

I have just booked a 'Kowhai' unit, whoever wanted to share the room (I can't remember who! Lol), we're all sorted out for the weekend's accommodation.

    1990 CBR250RR - fully rebuilt and awesome!
    1999 CBR900RR - a work in progress...
