I met an old mate I used to kart race with. Haven't seen him for many years he'd ridden up from Hamilton for something to do.
After saying Hi, The first thing he asked was how the hell can we tell who is who! No commentary, bike numbers unreadable out on track etc etc.
So there's some feedback from someone who is a true and tried petrol head. Was generally unimpressed with the presentation of the meeting he saw.
I know who the riders are and what bikes they ride. Just delivering some initial reaction from a joe blow who doesn't always come to bike racing but is def a tried and true petrol head, bike rider and car racer. Just the sort that would come for a day at the track to watch some bikes.
Now don't shoot the messenger here![]()
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
Good to here that they will have a PA up and running soon,
That will be great.
And the Live Timing Site is fantastic.
Tried to get it on the iphone but 3g was to slow.
Thanks to all the people that make that possible.
Perhaps Hampton may look at a radio frequency, so you can use a headset.
They run one at Western Springs, works really well.
No commentary??????????? Three commentators drove from Lower Hutt, Palmerston North and Wanganui for the meeting. The PA up there let the whole thing down although it was available on FM radio.
Would be an idea for the track to advertise this facility though.
Numbers, i was in a unit right on the main grid and i could read number 170 when it spat out smoke, but there were a lot of sub standard number.
To be fair, where were they watching as there's some high speed parts where its
real hard to see even good numbers, bikes don't have the flat area of car doors...
For anyone that missed out, I noticed that all the racing is available here:

$5 a play seems kind of steep though. Shame they don't do a season pass so you could watch as much as you want, when you want.

Still no reply from contact with 'Cemetary Circuit' website.
I read in BRM about the TV coverage. Hope I don't hear about it after it's been shown.
Do us all a favour, by bringing yourself up to speed, before pulling onto the motorway.
I am pretty sure there was no TV coverage of the races on the day.
They are covering Wanganui I think.
Got a reply. They're still waiting for Telesport to let them know when it'll air. They'll let me know when they do. I'll put it on here when that happens, for anyone who's interested.
Cheers.

Live and streaming at the Cem was great last year looking fwd to this year as well.![]()
OK then what do you want to pay? Grant bought the camera just weeks ago and it cost him a cool $5000, then there's his time travel and other incidentals including the setting up of a payment system.
I do like your comment about a season pass, maybe you could send it to him for him to ponder
They announced the radio station details on the PA.![]()
"That's rooted!! What's next??"
