The testing officer wasn't being hard on him. Everyday on here someone is complaining about other road users not knowing/applying the road rules, as soon as it is one of our own, people think its the testing officers fault.

The best bit of advice I was given from a driving instructer/family friend was to remember that your playing their game, no matter how stupid or unnecessary it may seem, you still have to play by their rules.

Anyhow good luck with the resit.

Ack! Stay off my roads mate!

    1) They're not new. They've always been like that.
    2) How hard is it? I cant believe the shit I see. There must be some serious comprehension problems out there.

Here's some notes for the roundabouts.
Whenever you EXIT a roundabout, no matter which way you are going, you'll ALWAYS be signalling left.
If you're turning left at the round about, signal left on the approach. If you're going straight ahead, dont signal the approach at all.
If you're turning right, indicate right on the approach.
    Thats it.

Even clearer than my crap explanation:

What changed was now you can get demerits for it. The rules stayed the same.
EDIT: Sorry, no demerits. Just an offence.

That was pretty much always the rule - just that nobody followed it......

The guy who taught me to drive - Brian Parker - one of the best from Passrite - taught me that 5 years ago...... and isn't it the natural thing to do?? Give the waiting traffic an indication of where you want to go??

and the way devil said to indicate does do this, if your going left you'll be indicating left, going straight you won't be indicating, if your going right you indicate right
