    Only a green flux capacitor will work with gear driven cams.

    I've heard that if you take a purple one and paint it blue you can use it in place of a green one. The guy that told me was a bit drunk though.

    He must have been 'coz that's gotta be bullshit, there were only ever 3 prototypes in purple. One is known to be in the New York Museum of Transportation and the other was destroyed in the British museum fire. The whereabouts of the third is currently unknown but I doubt it got painted blue to use in lieu of a green one. Whoever said that must have been a real munter.
