It's an awesome spot, but with young kids, they will need to have someone keep an eye on them due to the river, but there's enough of us, plus other kids, and it'll be all good. Town's about 11km away, where there are restaurants, takeaways, petrol, booze.

Bring your riding gear as well, so you can go out for a blat on the bikes.
Thanks Dutchee...my girls are 12 and 15, not exactly little ones anymore...

    Leathers, now there's a thought...
As long as nobody sticks a flag in my hand, it will be all good!

    Blah

Don't let them put a flag in your hand (I intend not to pick one up but doubt that's possible). It's up to us to organise and flag ourselves. Last year I spent the weekend lapscoring, the year before flagging, this year I intend to ride, or if I decide against it, just sit and watch and screw 'em. I'm trying to learn how to be a racer, and for that to happen, I need to learn the mememememe mentallity.

Definitely bring the leathers, we'll get you out there and if we see you with a flag in your hand, we'll have a punishment ready. (we met at Roy's Hill where you spent the day flagging in July last year).

Okay, so the girls are old enough to help look after any little ones that turn up lol. I was thinking age of around Nigel's grandson hehehe

The last time I flagged at buckets, Hels became a broken arse.
I think that day was the first red flag incident ever at Roy's Hill, and first time an ambulance had been called...I'm sure Hels won't want me any where near a flag!
But before I commit what kind of punishment did you have in mind...

Both girls are good with younger kids...

I'm pretty sure she's making her comeback at Taumarunui

We have some exceptionally outstanding Romanian plum brandy for you if you are keen. Koba, Helen and myself tried it at Wanganui and it would seem selfish in the extreme to not share such a wonderfully ethnic local specialty with as many others as possible.

Drag you gear along, we'll find a bike for you to ride at some stage, even if it is during practice or when the rest have decided to stop for a nap and you can have th etrack to yourselves.

As long as I don't have to do the two together...riding and drinking would be far too dangerous..
We don't often have much room in the car when we go camping, gear may not fit...

At worst throw your helmets in. I'm sure we can find somebodies stinky gear at the end of the day that will fit.
Drinking doesn't start until the riding is over, about the only sensible thing about away bucket meets.

Yep, we'll be the Friday, I'm pretty sure Steve will be and unless I miss my guess at least some of the Wellington professional bad influence types will be turning up Friday night as well. If you get there and nobody else has turned up yet, jump over the gate and pick a spot for your tent, from past experience the further from the club rooms the quieter the site, and the harder it is to find your tent sometime past the witching hour.

And that is why we have a GPS, has paid for itself over time and again in avoided arguments.

    Forecast

Will probably head over Sat morning. Still got wets on from last time we raced at Roy's Hill back in August, might leave them on.

Weather forecast was not flash when I looked on Monday. Just had 5 days of rain living in a tent at the beach in Gisborne.

Tamati normally has the forecast in by now?

Not going, more concerned with whats happening locally. Sunday after Blackbarn last year was:
    a: Hangover from hell.
b: Everything soaking wet and covered in mud.

Since you asked for it, here it is:

    Saturday 7 Jan
Showers - Cloudy, a few showers. Light winds.
    Max 24°C
    MIN 11°C

    Sunday 8 Jan
    Showers -Occasional rain. Southeasterlies.
    Max 23°C
    MIN 11°C

Remember to take your flippers everyone.

Might make Te Puke, though same day as Seafeild Road.
