ah, that guy. Ive killed many hours watching his vids (long before I got my 6l) only because the roads are sweet (forget if its thailand or Malaysia) and some of his commentary is entertaining. Funny how he has to skip over his rant about my homeland, though. He is some canadien dude that has been living there for the past 10 years. He now does scooter/motorbike tours there....

At least as bad & sadly on a regular basis. The magnetic centre line syndrome.

Do you think that kind of riding comes from someone who thinks they are taking a "racing" line & going faster but have never actually been on a track or bothered to read about it? Or just plain dumb..

Don't you do slow lines? I find it's nicer on my nose.

I like that bit around 3 minutes where he almost has a head on with a car when running wide

I always take racing lines on corners, but only to an extent. If turning left I will get close to the edge of the road, maybe 30cm away from white line (especially in the wet). When turning right I will only go close to centre line if I can see the entire corner and some road after the corner otherwise I stay away so my leaning means my head wont be over the line. I'm a fan of the slow in fast out method with late turn in, nearing an apex in the second half of the corner (on longer corners there may be several apexes). Seems a safer way to ride, not turning as sharp, smoother lines and slow in means theres allowable margins for errors (the road surface is inadequate ).

hugging the inside line makes the corner sharper and you go slower while pushing your bike harder. Thought racing lines would be common sense to anyone whose driven a cage on the road or ridden a motorbike for more that 200m of a road with lots of corners. (Or not sure if my copious hours of playing racing games and watching racing on TV helped, racing speedway for 8 years might of helped aswell).

Racing lines don't take a rocket scientist, just stay in your lane on blind corners.
