If you don't mind me saying so - thats a silly comment. Mourning one who has touched you and thus formed a connection in no way implies that the deaths of others are any less sad. I would suggest you volunteer in a Hospice to get a feeling for how a cancer affects people. Trust me you only need a slight brush with it to change the way you feel.

RIP Natalie. Never met you but admired your attitude and courage in the face of a bloody awful situation.

RIP to Natalie and Jason Richards, both with young families and only in the 30's,life sucks at times.
Gives me inspiration do these people,at least someone is worse off than ourselves.Buying xmas pressies and stressing at this time of the year seems minor in the nature of this news.

I see an ex-Miss Venezuela has also died at age 28 from cancer. It is so sad to see such young lives taken by such a cruel disease.

Yes. It really is so much worse when hot chicks die.

Now, I'm not one for keeping up with the news, so could someone tell me what Ms Murphy did to make all this fuss worthwhile? What did I miss? What has the world lost? Some form of scientific breakthrough, epic sporting achievement, or contribution to world peace?

... or was she just a hot chick?

She was someone's wife, mother, daughter, sister, best friend....
So obviously she was important to many people. Sadly she was one of many people that die of cancer.

So, as far as the rest of us were concerned, just a hot chick, then?

I guess sex sells. This is a bit morbid, though. News media types will stoop to anything to sell ad space.

I'm not particularly good looking, so it's unlikely to make the news, correct.

Unless I happen to do something extremely useful or interesting between now and then, of course.

I actually think that is the angle he is working at.......

Sad to see another succumb to cancer though. In fact to be brutally honest - it fucking sucks.
Here's hoping the family can find a way forward from here. Not without her, but just a way forward.
