My Plan Tony is too leave Wgtn on the Friday when the ferry gets in around 6pm,which is opposite the railway station,so could meet up if your still in town I hear flights are cheaper after 7pm

Thats good,just sussing out jetstar flights,and ensuring my flight gets into downtown brittomart and connecting buses to nth shore.
Then again looked on a rental car relocation site and thought the option of driving a car/campervan to auckland as well,but would mean leaving friday morning or early afternoon.

there is a site that has all the "free" rental car drop offs available, but I cant find it.

Basically you just choose your location and destination and the size car you want, and they tell you when there is one that needs delivering. They pay for gas, ferries, insurance etc.

No.. Saturday Paul, the bigger details I will deal with, the finer details will be left up to the Baton Carriers.
You choose the start point and time and I will add it to post 1.
Then the other Baton Carriers can think about change over times etc.

There's 7 spare (3 singles 2 queens) beds and a couple of dble air beds at home if anyone needs a bed on the 2nd (friday night)

I've had a bit of a rethink. I've decided that Auck to Welly in one day is a bit far to then turn around and come back. Christchurch to Wellington is an easy one day ride though, so I'm going to move down there prior to the beginning of March and ride in that direction. Guess the flaw in that plan is that I'll have to go back the other way as well, but I'll try not to focus on that for now.

If there's any extra value or exposure to be gained by having the baton do Chch to Welly on the Friday I can organise that. Barry can you pencil me in for a bed on the Friday night please? Cheers!

On that note. There are 9 spare here plus plenty of camp matresses etc if anyone wants a nice soft place to crash on the Saturday. I can probably be convinced to cook a bit pot of something so it can be reheated so food wont be a problem.

Oh, and now that I won't live in Auckland, can you pencil me in for a bed on Sat too please?

i am booking the princess room, and will help cooking because we will need food after all of that exercise , and drinks, drinks are much importante.
