    Broken ignition

Ok so i arived at work today and parked up, took the key out and realised i forgot to lock the steering. Put the key back in and it no longer turns, as if it were the wrong key. So when i finish work today ill be somewhat stranded or ill be pushing her all the way home. Any advice or reccomendations of companies that could help? If its going to cost a bit to fix then im just gobna ditch this bike... caused too much heartache over the last year....

Try spraying crc in the barrel.

+1 to what unstuck said, or even a light oil, then just repeatedly push key in & out to get the tumblers moving again.
    Hope it works out man

How did it work out? Could be your key is a bit worn - have you got a spare to try?

Similar thing happened to me a while ago, sometimes took a few mins of jiggling the key round etc, but you get a knack for it after a while. Now it seems to have worn enough it doesn't stick anymore.

I have a bad habbit of forgetting to check threads that I've started for updated information...

    anyhow,

Basically as far as I can tell the internals of the lock are busted to some extent, key won't turn in either direction. The local locksmith wasn't very helpful and I found him to be quite rude actually, in the end i convinced him to take a look but he said he would charge me $50 just to look, with no gaurantee so I havn't done anything about it yet.

I'm still riding the bike minus the ignition lock, I had no idea how easy it was to remove to be honest...

get a disk lock or something similar just tie a ribbin on it to your handle bars so you dont try and ride away with lock attached

plastic fabricator/welder here if you need a hand ! will work for beer/bourbon/booze

    That's a wise suggestion.

Considered an investment really anyway as I'll more than likely want to own one for my next decent bike.
