    I've made some very good all extract beers before. The key is to dry hop them. I usually add an ounce, even 50g of aroma hops 7 days before bottling when fermenting a pale ale. Don't write off the extracts just yet, even though they are the easy way out.

    I remember reading about someone who was culturing up some of THAT yeast with the intention of using it for brewing...a cunt of a beer

    I've got no idea how that ended up...I'm not sure if THAT yeast is a Sacchoromyces type of yeast...maybe someone with good interweb search skills can enlighten us.
