Looking good for a ride over tomorrow, but won't be until later because of work 'n stuff. Weather looking a bit average but.

For anyone heading over arthurs, when I came back to chch on wednesday there were a shitload of roadworks and those silly patch repairs to the edge of the road just west of Springfield, so keep an eye out for loose gravel...
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Good rally , but the Plod hit it hard on the way out , with a check point , i went at 8am and , the cheek point gave the WHAT FOR ,I was told my headlight was too bright , ( i told them its better to been seen than not ) I passed the breathalyser, failed the reg check , cos it hadn't arrived in time, since i did it on line, so i went ok on that one in the end, another pass. Then i was told there was not enough tread grooving on my tyres , that where new less than 10 day ago, WHAT ? Too bizzy trying to get people i reckon.
I Cracked them a wheelie on the way out , for shits and giggles , but they had there eyes on the next victim coming up behind.Click image for larger version.

Man your attitude must have preceded you.
I left the rally at 8.30, the only bike at the check point when I got there,
Now, I have no bike license, no registration,
Did the breath test, passed, got commented that my biked looked really good, carry on sir.
I had that same report from two others passing the check point.
So I wounder why you were selected for a once over..

We all knew there was going to be a check point!!! We took it easy up to the check point due to having brand new tyre fitted after burnout..
Only had to count to 5, you cant easily see my rego and I dont display my warrant, neither mentioned.
Our group had no issues with the Police, they where nicer than some of the chch cops i have come across!!!

My wife and her friend went through twice and had chats to them both times...

We left around 9:00, ther was a blond chick with helmet and bike gear walking back to the rally site from the booze bus. Didnt look very happy. I wonder if her ride was heading downtown? Good weekend and being a long weekend for us [Nelson Anniversary] we headed over Arthurs to Hanmer for an extra nite. Great ride
