It's a Retail Management tool that a lot of retailers around NZ have taken on-board. They have a big fat manual on how you train your staff to approach, sell, on-sell, up-sell, and retain customers. Of course it goes deeper than just that. But the outcome is usually miss-interpretation and delivery of those "tools/skills" resulting in a lot of pissed off customers.

    Cool

Hi hunny. Sorry to hear about your head swelling up & exploding your vision devices.

I have private health insurance which gives me up to 3 pr of script goggles per year. One for a friend if I want. Got new script on 31 Dec (living on the edge ) So now can get another 3 pr today if I wanted. After paying so much for Insur, I want to get something 'free' from them.
I only use for some reading & picking splinters out of my knees. I have pairs for every situ now because my transitional pr make me nauseous

You'd think something as fundimental as lets say... SEEING would be better funded by the government. Is the same here.

Well good luck chicky. I'll ask at the eye shop if I can get 'old' lenses put in new frames under my cover. Happy to try for you lovely lady

PS I went with SpecSavers this time. Picking them up today. 5 day turn around, not bad. OPSM good too.

Hope to see you all soon.....

    for contact lenses
I went with coastal contacts, ( online) until they went stupid by their own success
    now ( and even better)
0800 contacts. ( I will check the address later), EVEN better than coastal, online im chat, good call centre, ( set up my account for me easy as),
send me an email when my contacts are due to expire, click email an I reorder its that simple
5 days later, on my doorstep.
u can set the reorder length of time

and as cheap or if not cheaper than anyone else
certainly better than both nz or japan
japan,,, couldn't supply, nz wouldn't supply without eye test
    america one click done .....

I go to Specsavers in the Glenfield Mall. There is an english guy there who is great (and rides motorbikes). For the single lense (no bifocals or progressive lense) you can get great deals. I paid $285 for 2 pairs of glasses. I am really anal about having spares, and as my eyes haven't changed for years, there are spare glasses in the car, the bike pannier, everywhere! I have astigmatism so I can't go to the warehouse or $2 shop.

Snap! I have a progressive lense in my glasses so that ensures that they are never going to be super cheap. I am going to get my prescription and see what that web based firm can do. I dont have spares for my glasses and am really struggling, I am using a pair that are many, many years old, I have one temple super glued on to the frames and the join is flimsy to say the least
