    ZXR250 cush rubber

    Hey guys

Passed my learners today after almost a month of waiting to finally take my zxr for a decent ride, but was cut short because of a knocking coming from the rear. Rode back home and had a look and it seems the rubber in the cush hub may be fucked as there is a lot of side to side play on the rear sprocket.

I havnt tried Kawasaki yet but prepering for the worst, does anyone know what other model rubbers will fit my 92 C?

Have decided to fix it before I go back on the road, dont want to shear the hub...sux I need to get back on the road

    cheers

Pull the back wheel off first ... check that IS the issue.

More likely sprocket mounting bolts/holes buggered.

Cush failure is notable from rotational play, not side to side, side to side is more likely a bearing failure of the sprocket carrier, or as FJRider says, something simple like bolts. But it has been a while since I've done anything with a conventional swingarm cush, so I could be wrong.

+1 to take it off and have a look

Yep will definately take it apart tomorrow and have a look. I was hoping that the sprocket was just loose but its the section that its attached to that has play.

faaaark I just checked the play properly and there is actually a lot of forward and back play as well as side to side.
