    Sure about that?

Goods mailed into New Zealand may be subject to import duty. Import duties are calculated on the Customs value of the goods in New Zealand dollars.
The goods may also be subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%, based on the Customs value of the goods, and including the duty (if any) and postal/courier charges.
Goods liable for duty and GST of NZ$60 or more cannot be released until the charges are paid.
There will also be an import entry transaction fee (IETF) and MPI biosecurity system entry levy.

Yes, my mistake. What's more I found someone at customs has cheated me. They added the shipping of $33 back into the shipping inclusive total cost. I've been cheated out of $4.30!

    Sucks to be you Grantman.
If you had bought it here, you would've saved heaps on that customs charges and only have to pay the $799 price tag. Nothing else.
    Oh well, lesson learned, eh?

My Vortice Vernice from FC-moto ended up $400 in total landed including shipping and all, but that was two years ago.

Oh I know I'm well ahead, just not as far as I'd like. The vernice are about $60 NZD cheaper than standard black vortice. Not for me, but great deal.

Just received my Sidi Adventure Goretex boots. $699NZ rrp, got them from fc-moto for $365 landed. I'd wager the importers couldn't get them for that let alone the retailers.

    Good idea? Or bad idea?
I have family in Germany. Should I order ~$2k worth of gear, get it delivered to their Germany address and get family to DHL it to me with "Motorcycle accessories. Value NZD$250" on it?
