I bought an Arai helmet off a yank in the US to replace my previous one (which I bought locally here years prior).
    Both felt the same.

Funnily enough, the European\NZ Arai's don't seem to fit me very well anyway so I was interested in trying an American sizing to see if there was any difference. Went with a Nolan X-Lite 551 from TSS Red Baron in Lower Hutt in the end 'cos Andrew there had been nice enough to bring in like 6 different helmets for me to try, including two Arai's. That was definitely great service so had no problems buying local on that occasion.

Edit: fwiw, I should say it was specifically the Arai XD4 that didn't fit me well, other Arai's felt great.

Has anyone ordered and had anything delivered recently from FC-Moto?

I ordered an HJC R-PHA helmet on the 2nd October, it was shipped on the 5th and I was told it would take 10-20 days. Still no sign of the helmet and when I emailed to ask how long it might be they have now advised that DHL could take between 3 and 8(!!!!) weeks.

Yep, you have now ordered in the "silly season"..... You will find that this is the norm at the moment and shipping stuff even for 'bigger companies' we are finding our stuff being "bumped off" planes and ships to make way for retail products for xmas.

I placed an order on the 19th so you guys will be a good gauge for me when I can expect my order. I will say, when I say the 10-15 days, I was expecting more like 4 weeks. Does not surprise me that you have not received your order. For me, I am in no rush for that kind of savings.

Bit of an update guys, according to the tracking my helmet arrived in NZ at 10:00am yesterday, that's 21 days from Germany to NZ. Hopefully the others waiting for gear don't have to wait quite so long.

ah true i hear in Australia when buying from FC Moto you get the option of DHL or UPS.
people saying that the UPS is heaps quicker but postage costs a little extra, bummer theres not that option for us
patience seems to be the biggest cost

Hah, mate it took Haul Plus 23 days to get my WR from Danniverke to Wellington... 21 days for something from the other side of the world seems great to me

Considering it's gear we often can't get here, and is 1/2 to 2/3rds of the price if we can, I'm still down with that timing.

My Rev'it pants arrived at my work today out of the blue... so out of the blue in fact the DHL tracker says they're not even in NZ yet. The box was completely farked, ripped open, crushed, then taped up, so the NZ Post guy kindly suggested to our receptionist she call me and get me to check the contents before accepting them. Good service!

Anyhoo, that would be 17 days from order. Very pleased.

I know it's not FC Moto, but as the topic of shipping came up, I bought a Dainese jacket from the Dainese Pro Shop in Belgium.

From the day I paid for it, it took them 8 working days to get the jacket from the factory in Italy, to them in Belgium, and then from Belgium to me on Masterton.

Not sure which international shipping company they used, but it cost me 20 euros (approx 31NZD).

    I thought this was unbelievable.

It sounds like I am the only one to be unlucky with fc-moto.

I ordered a helmet for my partner, got the email about it being processed, showed up billed on my card. Then heard nothing about it since. Order is still showing as processing on their site, but I have sent two emails asking about this with no reply. And the money has gone back into my account with no charge to my card. This was ordered on the 15 October and the two emails have been sent in the last two weeks.
