Received my Sidi Vortice Air yesterday - $385 landed![]()
got mine on Tuesday also, sent on 25/10/12 so around 13 days, sweet
but my SIDI ST dont FIT !!!!! arghh
had no idea they would be so narrow, well sorta knew from forums/reviews.
do you think they will expand over time?
may just sell em on trademe.
I went up a size on mine... My old Sidis wwere far too tight in the toe and I would barely be able to walk after a day. These are slightly loose in my opinion at the back of the ankle, but there is adjustment for Africa on the Vortice.

Anyone use these guys for their helmet?
I'm looking at getting an Arai rx7 or maybe Quantum but can save a lot getting from these guys.
I've tried them on here and know the medium fits me really well. I know people say that there are different shell shapes and sizes around the globe but it seems with most gear, jackets, gloves, boots etc, we seem to get the same versions here as Europe does. I've only noticed the USA and sometimes Asia seem to get different perforations patterns in some jackets and other details like that..
So anyway, helmets. Anyone got them from here? Fit just the same as the NZ version?
Ta.
catharsis, we can get several of the shapes here.
Recently there was a thread about a guy getting a helmet that didn't fit properly. Personally, I'll only buy what I've actually put on my head and tested...

I bought an Arai from the USA, no problems, but you really do need to do your homework.
It's not only what country you buy from, different model Arais come in different head shapes and you need to know which is which. If you get it wrong the helmet definitely won't fit - and there won't be anybody else to blame.
All the information you need should be available on the Arai site or the dealer's site.

FWIW I did quite a bit of investigation into Arai XD4's several months ago, and ended up dealing with Dolds (NZ Arai distributor) directly for various reasons. Long story short, they get their helmets from Arai Europe which is where FC-Moto source theirs from too.
Yeah, I'm 100% sure that a quantum is the same whether you get it from NZ or EU. But still, since I'm buying new jacket, pants, gloves and boots from fcmoto I might as well get the helm from NZ, be a bit of a patriot
It's flat rate shipping from fc right? I'm not going to get charged $100 freight because it's a big order right?
Well, thought I would update the status on my order I made on 19th of Oct, 2012. Have not received it yet. Sent an email last week and no response. Sent another email yesterday and....I will let you guys read it. WTF?
