I followed a guy tonight who was busy texting someone. Seriously considered taking a photo and emailing it to the fuzz but my new gloves are a bit big to work the blackberry...

Watched a security guard driving his little security guard hatchback texting on his phone this morning. Euro cars tend to have better horns than most cars as standard, as he discovered, almost shitting himself in the process.

I was sitting at the intersection of Strickland Street and Brougham Street one morning on my way to work just before Crimble , and a Mainfreight B train came thru the lights eastbound on Brougham (at least he was on a green light). He was presumably on his way to the Port. Guy driving it had his cellphone up in his left hand, at eye level and was either reading, or sending a text. I shit you not.

Funny how these things all of a sudden become more noticeable now there is a law in place.
Prior to that, we all managed to use a phone without any issues while driving. Well most of us anyway.
I actually find that the hands free is a bigger issue to use than being able to just pick up the phone and answer it.
Not sure that texting is a good option though.

Meh. Most of the bikers I have followed take corners like they are braindead.
If they could figure out "swing out, then turn in" then I imagine they could also txt while riding.
Car driver have the advantage that their car can't fall over on a corner......so they can start txting now.

My mate does in in his quad all the time. I guess everyone just stays the f*ck outta his way or something, coz he's never run anything over yet....which brings up another question, how come you can't use the phone, but ya can use the RT?

I get pretty shitty at people on cellphones, Partly due to the law change, but 9/10 they are to preoccupied chatting on their brick, and dont bother to check their mirrors/indicator/etc etc.
I like to either pull up beside them and tap on their window and make a phone motion with my hand then a finger shake like "No! Naughty! "
But thats just me haha
