    Hey,

Got similar problems with my 94 GSF250 (GJ74a). Have been informed that GSXR250 carbs from approx the same year should fit. I've just bought a set of GSXR400 Carbs hoping to be able to fit them but the port spacing is too far apart and the carbs touch the sides of the bike frame. Need to get a custom adaptor plate and rubber joiners to get it to fit on the engine side, as well as custom or modified air box to fit the inlet side.

Been told by a couple of bike shops in Auckland and Wellington that the GSF250 carbs 90-94 are a bit of a bugger as far as rough running problems go and trying to get parts for them is rather expensive eg.. had a Needle and jet set priced (can only get ex Japan) at approx $230nz per carb and would take approx 3weeks to arrive. With four carbs this was a realy expensive option with no assurance that it was going to fix the rough running issues.

Currently mine wont excelerate past 8000rpm and will hardly go over 70kph, also currently chews through the gas and floods frequiently. I won't ride it atm as I don't want to cause any damage to the engine till I resolve this carby issue.

One thing I did come across while I was surfing for options was on Ebay - Jet Kit with full fitting info custom made to suit "your" bike, which came up when I was searching GSF250. Priced this at Approx $130NZ including shipping which will do all four carbs not just the one.

Recomend you go to EBay and enter the following into the search area

--- Suzuki GSF250 GSF 250 Across 6 Sigma Custom Carburetor Carb Stage 1-3 Jet Kit ---

Will post on K.B. if I find a solution to my problem.

    Good luck
