    Always wanted to do that...

Not so long ago I bought a cordless keyboard for the 'puter here at the shop - some bloody Microsoft product or other - "multimedia" maybe?

Anyway to cut a long story short, it has pissed me off from day one. Asking for new batteries every third day, "poor signal" messages all the fucking time etc etc. Never did the job very well.

Well on Thursday night, as I was packing up to go home, it started farting around again and I finally lost the rag completely. Not having a sledge hammer to hand, I had to resort to the closed fist (several times) followed by a chucking onto the floor and a couple of severe stompings. Keys everywhere, batteries fell out - you can imagine.

Left it all there until this morning. When I scooped up all the bits and tossed them into the trash sack. Reverted to the ancient beige corded keyboard which has behaved impeccably ever since.

There. I feel much better now!

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I sconed a keyboard with a bb gun, was good times because the bb energy was enough to shatter just the key that was hit.

Recently upgraded my keyboard and the salesman treated me like an idiot because I wanted a nice corded keyboard for my desktop, instead of the cordless rubbish they sold.

I have issues with the cordless mouse that came with my Dell. Battery life hasn't been an issue but tracking and general screen movement is distinctly suboptimal. The cordless Dell keyboard works OK, apart from some non-standard key placements (in that Insert/Delete/Home/End cluster).

I'm still using the cordless mouse that came with the keyboard - mainly because I don't have a corded one here at work. Seems to be happy enough without it's moronic keyboard cousin...

I have always wanted to smash the computer when it pisses me off! I bet it was fun!
I bashed a car with a mallet yesterday - now that was fun! There was this bit that was sticking out and it ripped my shirt so I smashed it.
(Luckily it is being dismantled for parts)

Been using a cordless keyboard for ages. May have replaced the batteries once in the last 3 years, and no extended patience required .. Mind you there's no mention of Microsoft anywhere on it. !

You could have just taken it back ... Well perhaps you still can

I could indeed have taken it back. But bashing the fucking shit out of it was way more satisfying...

Yeah, take it back and say "This doesn't seem to be working for some reason..."

I thought of putting all the bits into a plastic bag and dropping it off at the place I bought it..."Send this back to Microsoft wouldja, and tell 'em to stick it where the sun don't shine!"

Having said that, I reckon I could easily enough get that keyboard to work again - they are bloody tough! Just poke the keys back where they belong and I bet it would be just as bad as new...

There's your problem... It has Microshit written on it. I never touch Microsoft hardware.

I have a Logitech Wireless Keyboard and mouse. Not one problem. Replaced the mouse battery twice cos i didnt realize how much power it used whilst i wasnt using it.. And havent touched the Keyboard battery. Turn the mouse off each night now to save battery power

Other than that. Its been bloody brilliant. Have 2 USB ports on the front of me 'Puta and the Mouse/Keyboard is in one and the USB hub is in the other

    +1000000

They don't call it Microshit for nothing......

I've put wireless Logitech keyboards and Mice on 3 computers here. Bought all three sets at Christmas 2010.
I've changed the batteries in the two cheap model keyboards once, and the mice once.

In my Revolution I've not changed any batteries at all. Mind you the mouse is rechargeable and has a dock, but the keyboard hasn't needed batteries yet.
