    Buckets at the nats

Just watched the first Streetstock / bucket race at Timaur. Won by Nick Cain on a CBR bucket buy the looks. Looks like you can do the nat on a bucket now. Didn't know all rounds were now allowing buckets.

I think its just a club thing, last week there were 4 buckets and about 20 150s, both non championship classes, the new development class
if you want a trophy you gota get a prolite, similar speeds to 150s

Nick is pretty fast on his CBR

If it doesn't bring a tear to your eye, add a little more fully synth 2T to the mix.

Bucket wins over SS and Prolights..... well that will either get them banned or raise there profile to main stream.

Yeah he won one race but I think he was the only bucket out there, mightve been one other but don't think he had a great day.
Nick is fast though, races one of the ex Aussie CBR150's and is usually faster than Al Hoogie!

Probably because the commentators haven't heard of Bucket Racing or know what a Bucket Racer is all about.

Ill be honest, I race buckets and 250 prolite, and i enjoy buckets more =)

... Still on a 250 you're doing higher speeds, but cornering on a bucket wins hands down =P

What sort of speeds do 250's get too? on the various tracks.

My GSX250 (the later twin cylinder variety) managed a gnatscock over the ton in the sprints but was just shy of it std. RG150 was very slightly slower.

Top speed on a given track, while it is the first question the layman asks isn't really a useful performance measure. Lap times for prolites are on Mylaps.

It was a sneaky question to get some idea of how to gear our Buckets.
