    making a nc30 exhaust

    Hi, is there any program out there to works out exhaust lenths and diameters. from the standard one l can't run a 4 into 1 only the back 2 and front joint up or 4 seperate ones. any help would be appreciated ..thanks

    If you can't find the room for a 4 : 1 then front cylinders joined and rears joined will work just fine.
    Each bank on the NC30 is a 360 deg parallel twin if I remember right - 360 deg crank in those, Vs the 180 deg crank in the VF400's.

    See Slight's final RC45 which had the pipes as suggested with two mufflers.

    Headers - 1 3/8in OD X around 26in long, tailpipe at least 24in before the muffler and probably 1 5/8 OD.

    It's not a case of solve for x. Different lengths will give different power curves, depends what you want out of it, readline screamer, or easy to ride torquey beast. Unless you are really interested in exhaust theory, I reckon just go with what grumph reckons, he knows his shit!

    Also, I recently made up an exhuast for mine, stainless pipe and U-bends from steel and tube are pretty cheap and look great. Tig, big disc grinder with thin slitting disc (hacksaw is a prick), zip tie, protractor, and vivid, and you'll be sorted!

    thanks l will go with that. l'v seen some on a nc35 once just did not know the lenths and diameters
