The latest update from the family today:

No change with Cameron today, Sedation reduction going OK. Managing to breathe with a little assistance however had a little hicup with his heart last night. They had to give him abit of help and when it happened twice through the night he managed to kick start it again by himself. That fighting spirit is there, so long may it last. They are planning to give him a haircut as worried about pressure sores on his head. He doesn't look quite the same with long hair. You people are great. We value your comments. We tell Cam all about them. Keep those positive thoughts going. We are.
Your picture's in my wallet and I'm sitting on it. And if that isn't love, I don't know what is

Comment away with support, the family will enjoy reading all the positive vibes that you are all sending
While the thread appears to be quiet, there are plenty of people reading the updates on Cam's status. I see it as a sign of respect that people have heeded the comment about speculation, and know everyone is keeping Cam in their thoughts and hoping for a positive result.

Heck, that's very un-KB like, shows the feelings towards this young man
If you don't mind, I'd also like to mention the sticky at the top of this forum posted by Yow-Ling.
Best wishes to Cam and his family from me (Michelle)
(sorry this edit function causes a white box with white text,k so I can't edit where I want to - the sticky's about some great coffee to help Cam)

    Latest update from the family.....

Been abit of an emotional rollercoaster since our last post. Cameron is with us abit now. Eyes open and responding to voices and lots of facial expressions, However can not breathe on his own and appears to have no movement from the neck down. Doctors now think he has had damage to the brain stem [ part that attaches to spinal cord ] and also that he may have had a stroke. He needs to get his lungs going so that is his next mission and unfortunately we can only be there to support him through it, he has to do this part on his own. We all know how determined he can be, so lets all pray that he has still got that drive in him. I believe that some of you are raising funds to help Cam in the future. Thanks for believing in him and for being there for us all.

Belief? You betcha! He's a fast lil' bugger used to living on the edge at speeds most of us can only dream of on 2 wheels, so living on the edge in a stationary hospital bed on 4 wheels? Pfffft, a walk in the park for Cam.

Wow, I don't know what to say. That is the most terrible of news. I've been thinking of Cam a lot lately and wishing for the best. Here's hoping that his condition improves. Hard to know what to say in a situation like this.
