Most 97's (if not all) , however did go through a recall process where the ecu's were replaced there is the gap where the TRE comes into play.
There you go , Thats why Ivan http://www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/tre.htm lists a TRE for the 97's , its good to learn things
Why are all the good ones gone in a heart beat yet the vermin and scum seemingly live forever?

I'd go for an ATRE, I made a few up in november (still have 2 left) the difference is that when your in neutral with the clutch out it wont idle so rough.
My Argh came with a clutch switch bypass with make it use a different map with loss power too.

Can even put a switch on to select different gear maps.

I'm working on a GPI with built in TRE and Shift light but making one with the right aesthetics below the price of ones already available is proving difficult.

However I'd like an output for shift light and GPI in helmet wirelessly too... and with mp3 player + radar inputs. no wires to helmet just fit batteries

The ECU on both 97's I have is 32920-02F01 , however I think these are the replacement recall ECU's .
Gears 1-4,if we are being pedantic
