I think Edwards has learned from his mistakes with tyres, his best bet is to use the same as Rossi, no excuses then...

Damn. I'd like to see Hoppy win. Have Suzuki had a podium yet with the 990cc bikes?

But I fear the Rossi fans will be cheering again.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    This from the MotoGP website:

"Rossi has an exceptional record at the Derbyshire track. With the exception of 2003, when he was given a time penalty after crossing the line first, Valentino Rossi has won on each of the six other occasions he has finished at Donington; the 125cc race in 1997, the 250cc race in 1999 and in the premier-class in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004. His victory at Donington in 2000 was his first ever win in the 500cc class."

Ok, I rate Edwards too but that record strongly suggests that if Rossi can finish he will win.

Cold and Wet at the Brit MotoGP

    www.motogp.com

The Derbyshire weather came to spice things up ahead of the warm-up at Donington, as the track was completely wet after early rain, which stopped about half an hour before the first 125 session.

In the minor class, Gabor Talmacsi was the quickest, with a fastest lap set in 1’51.039 – almost 15 seconds off the qualifying pace. The Hungarian finished ahead of Spanish rookie Jordi Carchano, who was 1’865 adrift. Aprilia’s Mattia Pasini was third ahead of Tom Lüthi and Julián Simón.

Many riders were caught by the tricky conditions : Bautista, Simoncelli, Poggiali and Faubel joined a list of eleven riders who crashed out in this last session before the race, all walking unhurt

Better dry out before the race. Donnington was never a good place in the wet.

I see gibbering wreck is in 2nd and melandri up there two. Hopefully melandri can do some good work - maybe he wont fade this time.

Awesome stuff. Finaly, I get to see a Suzuki rider on the podium.

Rossi has got to be the smartest bastard out there. I was thinking after he ran off the track, the lay down a couple of 1:48 second laps to catch up, "Hang on, that's over a second down on what the 250s were doing. He's gotta have more speed."

    Sure enough, 5 laps from the end, a 47, a 45, he's got a 4 second lead.

Maximum respect to Ant West on the KTM 250 in its debut race too. That man deserves a

Normally I don't watch the 125's or 250's. I did this time though, I think it really made me appreciate how slippery it was and the skill of the motogp riders. Rossi is unreal...

Warr, I've captured the motogp, so if no one posts a link (gav?) I could put it on cd and post it to you.
