I would just like to say that until there is more information about the crash, can people please keep their opinions to themselves. A lot of KBers were there today and they are upset enough already without having people throwing their 2cents in. Not trying to curb freedom of speech, but this is not the time to do it. A lot of people have been affected by today's events and support is what they need the most right now.

EVERYONE at the track today tried to react as best they could to what was put before them......... and there was a hell of alot for all of us to deal with.

My thought are with everyone that was involved in this tragic ACCIDENT!!!!!!
I have never considered myself so lucky to be in one piece......
Glad to hear from you Mitch.

Maybe people need to become more involved as helpers in a sport they love so much. All racing is dangerous and all effort should be made to make it as safe as possible and attempt to correct any gaps.

Be aware, make too much noise and the beurocrats will put a 70K speed limit on the track if they don't ban it completly.

One red flag at start finish is standard practice and having one at each point would not prevent this happening it may just cause it to happen elsewhere on the track,if a red is present at start finish I believe a full course yellow should be displayed

Last year a similar incident happend at Ruapuna at a BEARS meeeting resulting in some broken bones and thankfully nothing more serious, since then at every riders briefing all riders are instructed "In case of red flag, sit up slow down, look around, signal but do not stop and return to the pits slowly"

Having been involved in a race in earlier this year in which a competitor and friend died I know first hand the effect this can have on people and my sympathy and thoughts are with them

A police investigation will follow and the way the club ran the meeting will be checked as a part of this,it is quite easy to point the finger after the event however if you aren't prepared to put you money were your mouth is and help out with running of these events instead of bleating about the supposed short comings of the event or organisers and airing any concerns before the event then I personally feel you should shut the fuck up (aimed at no one in particular)

guys I think best we avoid speculation as previously posted Keep in mind that KBers were both racing and involved in the running of that meeting.
Best wishes for those hurt and involved in this accident.
Condolences to a fellow F3 racer and his family.

Fuck.... (and I really try not to swear...)

We visited Stoney today.... (not the right place to comment) Went for a ride up the hill, saw bikes coming back early (ish)... Dammit... Wondered why...

    Shit shit shit.... Nasty!

Until KB, if I was to be really honest, I almost avoided other motorcyclists. Bad experiences in other lives do that to you... You don't like getting 'close' to people any more... (please don't pursue this)

Posing aside... Lets not forget, a fellow biker died today and you should all weep for this person because everyone of us lost something. There IS nothing else.... It could just as easily been them reading about you. Don't matter if you ride an ancient Guzzi or the latest and greatest, the wind is the same and the game is as deadly.

    Oh shit! Not good....

    Not good at ALL.....
