Cancer Relay Threads going to print

    Greetings all.

I will be printing all the Cancer Relay threads this Thursday 2nd March. They will then be all bound together into one book of sorts. I'll take it down to Wellington on Friday and it'll go into the baton for it's journey up the country. It'll then be presented along with the other bits and pieces.

The reason I am telling you all this comes to you in two parts:

    1) It mightn't be a bad idea to go through any posts you've made and edit or remove anything you don't want to be permanently recorded. I can't think of anything that actually needs changing, but that's up to you. All that we ask is that you don't go crazy and end up changing the past, so to speak, and ruining the flow of the thing.

    2) Please feel free to add any further personal messages of support.

Once again, anything that's still in here on Thursday will go to print, and obviously the opposite is true of anything not added to the thread by then. See most of you Saturday.

    Dear Tony

I haven't known you long enough to write beautiful words like Anne, but you are an amazing guy and I am grateful for getting to meet you at all.

I am lucky to have fab memory's of great times at the cape with you and the L's Angels, it was fantastic to see you and your spectacular attitude to life, not to mention the chats and histerical laughter.

Enjoy the ride bud and I will track you down for a yarn when I get there

Have done at least 1 survivors lap at either taranaki or palmy north relay for life since 2004,and my opinion was and is doing that lap was best part of having had cancer.

These last few months shows me the people who have come into my life have been inspirational to me,words astound me from the respect shown to me by you lot. Many people die wondering what have they achieved in life, same here but my life has been fulfilled.

Tony, as you know my wish for you is much peace, and love. Your families love was easily seen last weekend. Your determination and strength is what supports them as they support you.

Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your nite last saturday, it was very heartfelt and it was a privilege to be a part of it.

There are very few words that describe exactly how special people like you are, Tony, because you are such a rarity on this world of ours. Even through all the hardship and suffering you've endured, you've always been a fighter, a happy face, a great guy to be around. Admittedly, I haven't had a great deal of time to get to know you as well as others, but what time I have spent with you, I've greatly enjoyed every single second of it. You can be so proud of who you are, how you've inspired everyone around you, how you've brought out the best in so many of us. I can honestly say I've never met anyone like you before in my life. Someone so kind, caring, compassionate, honest, sincere, dedicated, and fervent about living life to the full. You amaze me. That's about as much as I can explain it.

So, with that said, I WILL BE COMING UP for the run this weekend, another very good friend has offered to kindly let me borrow his vehicle (so I don't have to ride and bugger my ankle even more) so that I can make it, so that I can show everyone just how much you've inspired me!
