By the way, I had brunch with Tony (ynotslow) and Shafty yesterday. Frankly I'm blown away with the spirit of the man, some of us lesser mortals would have sunk into depression and negativity with the hand of cards he's been dealt. I could only hope to deal with such adversity with the dignity, courage and positivity that Tony has.

I am privileged to call Tony my friend and I'm honoured and grateful to be part of this wonderful effort in tribute to him and for the benefit of all Cancer sufferers.

To the organisers and participants, you have my deepest respect and gratitude, bless you all. x

Hey you lovely thang. This is all about life and loving, and living. Tony has been given a life sentence, he knows his time is close. As friends, we get the opportunity to love him and support him however we can while he lives the life he has! Not a bad thing to be told how valued you are, apparently it makes grown men cry...

I learned this lesson many years ago, it goes like this for me. Everyday has to be the best it can be, I tell my nearests and dearests I love them every opportunity I get. I could get taken out at any time, I dont want people I care about to not know I loved and valued them.

Hugs to you Marty, you are lovely folk too.

Spot on Tony, it was very cool spending time with you, and to catch up with Marty and Alision.

I can only echo Marty's sentiments, my hat is well off to you and your attitude.

"I hear you" when you said "you'd be the same" but you're an inspiration, and I take your advice on board!

    Cheers Dude

When will names be added to the team donation page on the relay for life website? I am hitting up some people who owe me. Would be good if the names were up.

Carry on the awesome work everyone!

    Thanks.

So, I made sure I've got the 'all clear' from work today to be there for the run, which wasn't a problem...

Only thing is, now that I'm doing more hours for the V8's and less for Traffic Management, my boss at Traffic Management isn't so keen on sponsoring my laps. So I'm open to any offers from anyone out there that is willing to support a great cause, I plan on doing the whole thing from start to finish (if my poor old tired body will let me! The mind is more than willing though!)

I haven't asked the boss at the V8's just yet, it's still a bit soon... Today was only my second full day working for them again since last year...

I'd be keen to do it for a lousy dollar per lap even! COME ON GUYS, SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!!

    1990 CBR250RR - fully rebuilt and awesome!
    1999 CBR900RR - a work in progress...

Good on you Scott, doing the whole thing... just a little bit mental but I admire your resolve! If you're willing to stop every now and then I will be happy to attempt to flush the lactic acid from your legs lol. Maybe you could multi task and eat and drink some water while you're on the massage table too?!

Donations are flowing in!!!! I recommend sending out a spam email using the Cancer Society official email spam thingee... Log in, then go to:

My Control Panel Home > View Donations > Email Donation request

I just emailed myself, then forwarded the email to everyone I know...the email is really good as it gives people a direct link to the donation page and has your team and your name already selected.. so it's super easy.
