Yes, but these will be what? $2k? and the last couple of Dream 50's I've seen second hand have been $8k and up

Sorry for restarting an old thread.

I've been looking at getting a 50cc commuter and can't stand the look of the typical scooters around (I got sick of my last one and sold it). But, I do like the look of the Ace 50/125. I realise the 4-stroke 50cc will be a gutless wonder and overall it probably won't be as reliable as some of the more well-known brands.

I've seen these in person and they look solid enough. The chrome is not good quality apparently but overall, for the price and the look, I quite like them.

Has anybody had any experience with one of these?

I'm not really looking for opinions on Chinese built bikes, Chinese labour laws, how you'd only ever ride Vespa/Honda/etc or that I should get a bigger bike. Just hoping someone has actually bought and ridden one of these and has an informed opinion.

I'd also be interested in any info on mods to get a bit a few more kms/hr out of them.

    Any help appreciated

Down Under Motorcycles here in Christchurch has these for sale,
One was ridden to the biketoberfest on sat, and had bar end mirrors, created a heap of interest.

Their Honda Ape monkey bike thing is alright - pretty sure it's called the Skymax. The rest of their products are utter shite.
