Just how do they think the expressed mother's milk will be delivered to the baby?

Quite the OPPOSITE actually ... there is a "National breast-feeding day". And quite happy to show mothers feeding in PUBLIC places ... and DEMAND that they are allowed to as well ... and create a similar rucus if they aren't ...

No they don't. They appear to promote mother/baby interaction when it comes to feeding. One member says, and I quote, "A man isn't expected to feed his baby. It's unnecessary. He can do everything else to bond with his baby. It's not feeding that bonds them!"

That's the crucial hypocrisy - that La Leche demand that breastfeeding mothers be allowed to do so publically (I have no problem with that) - but they are demanding that bottle-feeding be kept out of sight.

The ultimate dismissal, eh? I guess all the fathers who have felt such bonding when feeding their babies were wrong.

La Leche are rapidly losing credibility as a result of their militant extremism.

My daughter's friend was part of the group that complained. Arguments ensued between daughter and friend. Daughter likes Piri. Can say no more on the subject as I've sent her the link to this. Hi Emma!

I think the mothers felt better ... when the fathers were doing the feeding ...

How the fathers felt about it .... was irrelevant ...

Well, like all organisations, the individual members may have different ideas.
La Leche, as an organisation, started to promote 'Breast is best' ... as in human milk for human babies. How that milk was delivered to the baby was not the issue.
My own mother was a 'counseller' with them for years. She did it for the above reason, and to provide support to mothers who wanted to breastfeed, but were having troubles of whatever. Some babies will take a rubber teat, but not a nipple (weird, huh?) so expressing, refrigerating and bottlefeeding was what she 'pushed'. To the best of my knowledge, the father was encouraged to participate.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
