To be honest my excuse is that I wasn't breast fed as a child so it's probably the fathers's fault for wanting to be part of his family

Who the fuck is Piri Weepu anyway?
I think it's time this was NIPped in the bud....
(hi Dad, get back to work!)
Oh I'm sure many of the blokes on here would be giving their right nut for that!!
My kids were both different - one got boobies, the other got bottle. Just the way it had to work out.
It brasses me off when something that should be a positive message (dads involved with the holistic picture of bringing up their children) gets hijacked by an issue like this. I support La Leche League in their "breast is best" (if it is a totally doable option for the parents(s) - and it's NOT always an option for some). Absolute idiocy as far as I'm concerned that these bleating moaners can't give the general population credit for being able to use their own brain in terms of deciphering the message of the ad, and instead focussing on a narrow window of possible misinterpretation.
The Breastapo need to pull their farking heads in!!!
No body move... I dropped my brain
Trust you to want to get that off your chest...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Groups like La Leche League are a dime a dozen. They predominately discuss amongst themselves on the likes of Facebook, and reinforce, self propagate, and exclude each other as needed. The sharing of self righteousness.
You can look at the ladies discussing amongst themselves in the following link, however don't bother posting. From what I gather, their complaints about the advert (which was an anti smoking one right?) seemed to have drawn a lot of attention to them and they have put a blanket policy of deleting any posts not about promoting, discussing, or helping the cause of breast feeding.
It would seem to me a failure to promote interest and discussion of their cause, by blocking any discussion of their actions when they cause a stir up.

I got nothing against breastfeeding in public, or that advert.
I do have a problems with the mantra of some pro-breastfeeding rights hippies though. I have seen first hand a GP warn one of these La Leche League followers that if she continues breastfeeding her child (instead of promptly weening), there will be a number of psychological issues for the child; such as development of self, independence, etc. The GP was adamant the child was getting to old to be breast feeding still. True story.
