Who killed the electric car?

I was looking at How to on electric motorbikes, and came across this doco,

its and old one, but I found very interesting, its about an 1 hour 30 long though.

Have watched it before.
It raises a fair few good points, but is entirely biased towards electrics and that there is a corporate scam. Not the most open minded approach at all.

The weight, expense and the dreadfully polluting process of making batteries killed the electric car but thats changing rapidly. Go check out the weight of a litium iron battery... (note NOT a lithium ion).....
