Sicko prank caller

Hi there,

My partner had a prank caller tonight at around 1:00am.
He was a sicko telling her how he was wanking himself and that sort of thing.
She has called the police and given them his number and name, I called him from skype and asked if Jason was there and he said "speaking", he sounded like a young falla who was half asleep in bed. I told him what I thought of him and he denied making the call (good ol caller ID doesn't lie).
Anyway if anyone knows someone by the name of Jason with cell number 0221702408,
Tell him he now has an enemy, the police has his name and number and he is a piece of shit who needs a bullet.
And feel free to call him and scare him a little if you want, he freaked out my partner so he deserves it.

That would be my call on it as well. Who would give their real name under those cicumstances.

One of my sons mates got a hold of my sons cell while it was unlocked. Changed all of the contact list names to Lord of the Ring characters.
Took him weeks to sort out. He had to text everyone to send back their name to find out which number was which person.

I kinda miss prank calls from when cell's were new... People used to ignorantly think that because cellphones weren't attached to a line they couldn't be traced .
Oh the hilarity when we called them back, just wish I coulda seen the look on their faces when they got a callback on their "untraceable" cellphone.

uses profane, indecent, or obscene language, or makes a suggestion of a
profane, indecent, or obscene nature, with the intention of offending the
recipient.

(2) Every person commits an offence who---

(a) uses, or causes or permits to be used, any telephone
device for the purpose of disturbing, annoying, or irritating any person,
whether by calling up without speech or by wantonly or maliciously transmitting
communications or sounds, with the intention of offending the recipient; or

(b) in using a telecommunications device, knowingly gives any fictitious
order, instruction, or message.

(3) Every person who commits an offence against subsection (1) or subsection
(2) is liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3
months or a fine not exceeding $2,000.


If the guy can't or wont identify the person responsible ... HE can/will be held liable. His memory may be jogged when he sees the penaltys ...

If a complaint is made ... they have to act on it.

Often better go directly to the phone company concerned. Their usual knee-jerk reaction is block the phone and delete the number. The old "this number is no longer in service" when you dial that number. No warnings ... No notice .... No excuses heard. DONE ... !!!

And the phone is useless to anybody.

I called Jason about ten Min's after he made the sick call, he sounded exactly as my partner described his voice so I'm in no doubt it was him that made the call. My feeling is that he may have got the wrong number BUT he decided to be a dumb ass and carry on about what he was doing and what he wanted to do. It was quite a graphic call from my understanding.
As I'm in Queensland at the moment, my partner has trouble sleeping at night by herself anyway and I have a five year old in the house, I took the call VERY seriously. I'm just glad I'm coming home on Monday so I can upgrade security at the house to make the missis feel more secure.
