I would have thought playing it down as just a stupid prank would be the better option.
If she is already nervous then escalating security, bringing in the cops etc will certainly not make her feel at ease.
It's more likely to raise anxiety.

A one-off call is not something to go overboard about. Yes be unhappy but making the misses fear for her safety by going over the top!!
O.k so she called the cops, not me.
I had the security measures in place already due to previous burglaries (except the deadbolts), and I'm glad the trolls are still having fun

No trolling at all bro - deadpan as fuck. I thought for a second the thread was a failed troll attempt but the truth as they say is often stranger than fiction.

FFS if you get that wound up about some tosspot prank calling your missus then you've got problems. But evidently paranoia is your middle name

Truth is his missus was cheating on him, she found an easy way to end the cheating by saying it was a prank caller and calling the cops.

My partner had a prank caller tonight at around 1:00am.
He was a sicko telling her how he was wanking himself and that sort of thing.
She has called the police and given them his number and name, I called him from skype and asked if Jason was there and he said "speaking", he sounded like a young falla who was half asleep in bed. I told him what I thought of him and he denied making the call (good ol caller ID doesn't lie).
Anyway if anyone knows someone by the name of Jason with cell number 0221702408,
Tell him he now has an enemy, the police has his name and number and he is a piece of shit who needs a bullet.
And feel free to call him and scare him a little if you want, he freaked out my partner so he deserves it.

    Thanks
Can I have ya wifes number instead?
