    Lost Bookmarks

Downloaded the latest Mozila software and for some reason I have lost all my bookmarks.

Any solutions in how to get them back?

Assuming Firefox. Think Mozilla would be about the same.

Search "C:\Documents and Settings" for bookmarks.html and bookmarks.bak.

    Edit: Look in C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR PC NAME]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.quv\
The "default.quv" could have random name.

Your .bak is the backup of the normal. Hopefully it's not wiped.
Then just rename to .html and they're back (you'll have to delete the .html one first).

It might have installed into a different profile directory.
    So they'll all be saved.
Did you lose other settings / extensions aswell?

    Hope that gets you started.

Same happened to me. No backup or clues as to what happened. Now I have to rely on my dodgy memory to rebuild them. Teach me (again) to back up my stuff.

Belated word of advice, and not of much use now Skyrider - but I always backup my bookmarks into IE before I ever upgrade Firefox. Then I re-import them back into Firefox once upgraded. In fact I back up everything of any importance...
