Welcome to KB firstly, rubidor.
Two brothers do nice pipes for Hondas, but if you really want to get the best out of it, take it for a long ride off a short pier and buy a Gixxer.

Abit hard there Jimmy . Neptune do a good sounding Muffler to . Check their dyno sheets first . Make sure you are getting not just sound & losing power .

New dude, welcome to KB, two bros pipes are shit on twins as are most carbons they cant handle the thumping. I have Scorpion, Staintune high rise are good and Remus are the mutts nuts on a storm.

That's fine mate, I believe Vaughan was just lulling yo into a false sense of security. You make sure that Yamithing is all well tuned for the rematch this summer.Originally Posted by R1AaronKDX

I second what dangerous said about carbons - V-twins tend to shake them apart, and the NZ sun tends to rot the plastic anyway.
You could also check out Microns or contact Motorcylce Exhaust Specialists (in Hanmer?) to see what they can do for you. Another option is to have the standard cans gutted and recored. There's a few people who do this, like Coby in Hamilton, and M/C Exhausts may also do it for you. Basically all this involves is having the cans cut open, all the baffles and crap taken out, a new perforated core put in, and the cans welded shut again.
On my 'Storm, a previous owner had cut the end caps out and removed the final baffle tube - loud but not particularly effective. I fixed it up by having new endcaps made up to my specs by Woolf mufflers, so the cans looked stock, but were slightly louder than stock and possibly less restrictive.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
Microns for VTR = $1350.00 inc. per pair.
Speed doesn't kill people.
Stupidity kills people.
Yeah, A mate has a set of Microns on his VTR and the sound the bomb. Has increased the performance as well.Originally Posted by Lou Girardin

Thanks to all who replied ( well most of ya !!!! ) have managed to track down a sharp price for a set of oval stainless microns and a dynojet kit as a package so hopefully they will be here today.
Happy riding
