After so many horror stories regarding the 1st wave of exported models the general report around the world now is more encouraging. Do you have a success story? Some people suspect chinese build quality (well, Quality control really) will naturally improve.... but only on the bigger brands that are aahem recognized names.
Kiwi's - kinda old fashioned and not the quickest to accept change. We are still struggling to accept Korean manufactured Hyobag oops Hyosungs as a quality and reputable brand.

....I am the owner of a couple of Loncin motors...I have tried to blow them up over a period of three or four years...they refuse to even get a rattle in the top end...I will buy another if by chance I can manage to destroy the ones I have...best value for money I have received from any product I have bought in a long time...

Im the same love my chinese pit bike its a Loncin or something it ís unkillable! I thrash the shit out òf it! made a bracket and adapted a quad handbrake onto it fpr wheelies. and I parked it in a shed for three years. The motors are awesome everythng else on the bike falls off or breaks but parts are cheap so sweet as
Im currently riding a Chinese bike around Vietnam its a Ferroli. same deal motor ís tough and has never failed after 2500km of wide open in top gear but lót òf things have broken

Well i heard the royal enfield guy went to india and was blown away by there quality and brought the orginal gera made them with
So just knowldge and money to spendon equipment no shortage or skilled staff over there mate there not dumb
They mocked the Honda motor co to only cause because underestimated there desire to do well .

Doesn't matter so much where it's made. Yamaha will have minimum quality control standards that they enforce at all of their factories.

yep, my wee Yammy is made in India.
6,000km last ~9 months and only thing I had to replace was the chain (freakish chain break). Excellent wee bike - cannot fault the build quality (relative to the $$ spent, as well as more expensive Jap assembled bikes).
Don't they make Harleys in India? Or at least several components?

Dunno about the components. Mine has 'MADE IN THE USA' on the frame.
