I hope they paid their ACC levies before they went up the tower. That looks dangerous ... someone might get hurt ...

Think of the glut of petroleum that would occur, massive price drop for petrol heads

"should something go wrong the company has 1 week to sort it out/clear it up. If the company fails to do so the Govt steps in & throws everything at saving the environment with costs going to the oil company" None of this 'allowing them to try to save profits' like in the Gulf.
They fuck up they wear the costs & it will be sorted immediately, if that means they have to permanently seal off the oil so be it environment comes first, if the cost of the clean-up sends them bankrupt so be it the environment comes first.

Well thats my opinion anyways. Hassling the oil companies won't do anything, they should be hassling the Govt to put hefty conditions on the agreements
You're right SS, Governments are the problem but who do you think backs them financially to be Governments. There's big money involved in buying Governments.....

Protesting to stop oil exploration will only delay the inevitable, and I think we all know it. Oil will become too expensive and whole industies will be directly and indirectly fucked and we will be forced to live in a different way, possibly something like Mashman bangs on about.

We won't have a choice, get used to the idea and use up as much petrol riding your bike now cos the day it all ends ain't that far away.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

I'd rather we prepared for it is all, after all there are people to come after us... who knows what the'll achieve given a decent start. As you say the day will come and it'll be bloody or it'll be expected and "mitigated" for.

Yeah, nah, yeah, nah, yeah, nah ... there's nothing to say that we can't do both. Ideally battery powered vehicles or a decent transport system for commuting and as that'll take years to achieve and cost more money than NZ has made to date, there are very few options. It seems stupid to think that all of the resources are currently available, but the money isn't and neither is the political will or it would seem the personal will to give it a go. Rant rant yaddad yadda selfish ignorant bastards yadda yadda rant rant

Lucy has the right to protest as much as she wants. Unfortunately led astray by the so-called leaders of her movement, simply because of "c grade-celebrity status" she is being used for promo work.

Message to the ship's captain: Cast off and head to sea as ordered. If "guests prefer to get off the ship at any stage, allow them to step off".
They might become thirsty, so hose down regularly.

either that or turn the hoses on them, might as well make it as uncomfortable as possible,
heh, if it gets cold enough, we'll be able to see lucy's nipples. hoses could make for an impromptu wet t comp?

So her hard hat has no petroleum by-product in it?
Her head lamp has no petroleum by-product in it?
Safety harnesses, and other gear they are using has no petroleum by-product in it?
The signs made of plastic including the sign writing on her tee shirt has no by-product in it?
Lets not mention the amount of A1 jet fuel they used to film the clowns on the Derek,
or the fact that there are people and services pulled off real work to baby sit these fuckers when they should be better utilised in the community.

These people need to wake the fuck up and realise that they are a hypercritical minority; that not every body gives a fuck about tree hugging long haired hairy legged tie dye flip flop wearing hippy friends of Jesus . Just IMHO.

LAWLESS is a has-been minor actor, a real expert 'ex' as in has been, '(s)pert' as in one off!!!!

Yay for hypocrites. And even for me, who lives in New Plymouth, its a mystery how she got on board in the first place. Most likely took a boat to the pier, and walked from there.

Still can't see why they don't haul anchor and leave already
I never get lost. I go on adventures
