Interesting! Some people said I took out the bales so I was expecting hard to see photos!

I stopped filming real quick & was amazed that a lot of people crowded up to the fence to take photos when we walked away. Poor bugger was lying motionless, the blankets came out & all people wanted to do was get a photo. some were laughing. Shame on them & bloody morbid too IMHO.
I really do not mind! I remember opening my eyes, looking down the back straight and I could hear people around me cheering!
Before I started racing, I found the crashing and falling off entertaining, but now that I know most of the competitors it's hard to watch.
The medics asked me what I had under my leathers, I told them it's safe - get the fukn things off! I was sweating like a pig.
I think the only reason they put up the privacy sheets was cause I was female. They tried telling me I had neck, spinal and shoulder injuries - while I was waving my limbs saying I'm okay. I didn't even get xrayed at the hospital cause the Doctor heard I was complaining about being okay. He took off my neck brace told me to move, walk, walk backwards and then said go home!

Yes, I owe beer. I'll shout it in Sydney in March - lets hope I don't have another doz to owe!

The reason they put the blankets up around those incidents is because of the crowd. it looked like a bit of a nasty off so it was precautionary.

I understand it was precautionary, but it frightened people when there was nothing wrong with me. Guess it just reminded some of when the sheets went up for Allan 2years ago.
Bonnie at MNZ was on the corner and saw it, so again, I have to provide a medical clearance lol couldn't escape this one!

I'm not sure where to upload it, I'll try work it out. Can I make it public? I want to show everyone that thought it was huge, that it wasn't!

I'm a computer numpty so I reckon the best way to do this is if you send me a flash drive or good SD card & I will put all the sidecar footage on it & return it. The vid would be much better edited so that your tumble is in slow mo if you want to put it on the interweb. I have some classics too & a bit of humour in the pits. I will Pm you my address.

What angel said... it wasn't specifically because you're female. We do it at the public events to give some privacy to the person, and we'll always err on the side of caution until we know better... I was the marshal fetching the blankets from the ambo to form the screen...

Glad you're OK... I was first on the scene for Allan 2 years ago, and didn't really want another...

It's just sometimes the sheets don't go up.
I kept telling everyone I was fine lol. My first question was 'how's my helmet?' the second one was 'where is Burt?'
Then I heard my grandmother coming - and apologised to you medics cause she is a scary lady lol. It was the sheets going up that made the crowd (and my poor family) think it was really bad, cause that's what happened to Allan.
I got calls saying it looked like I should have died! Looking at the video, it was just a normal off. Looking at the photos, I understand why spinal injuries were suspected. My head is IN the bales and my ass in the air!

Thanks for your help, all the (many) medics on the scene were awesome, I LOVED that I could joke with them all the whole time.
