    Kawasaki zxr250 1991 clutch problems

When you pull in clutch lever it just stays in. You can push it out yourself it engages and runs fine I can take hand off lever in 1st and it still ideles like it's in nuturel. Have a cable on order. Is the oil for clutch the same as the engine. Or is it worth opening it up and changing plates springs

If it runs fine when lever out then plates & springs are ok. Clearly binding somewhere external to engine. likely the cable is severely damaged or the lever pivot or maybe the lever on the engine if so fitted (some bikes run push rods from left to right side of engine, possible to hit with damaged chain perhaps).
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
