Well I have owned an o4 R6 S, but I havnt ridden a third gen 1 TBH, but my mate bruce with the grouse missus sez that they need to be revved higher to make them hussle eh au

Plus (so Ive been told), the layout is a tad less radical than the 06 on, with more emphassis on road riding than the track orientation of the 06 & later..

They do have 130hp at the crank. My mates R6 dyno'd 110hp at the rear wheel which would put it close to 130hp...

Anyway - an HP here or there doesn't matter too much. The guy is coming from a 17Hp 180cc machine. I would have thought a 70hp machine was a more reasonable next step. If you have experience, you can baby any size motorcycle. The problem is we don't know this guy and just to say you'll handle a 600 ss fine without knowing him might be dangerous

Assuming the worst in people all the time, makes you look less than confident.

This guy might be well talented, level headed, and not a subject to his own ego. I'd rather assume that.

Edit: but even the li'll ones can kill you.
